Jewelry Care

To make sure your jewelry lasts and looks its best, we encourage all customers to regularly clean their pieces:

  • Solid gold and platinum can be cleaned with mild soapy, water and a soft brush. Then dry it thoroughly and lightly polish with a soft, clean cloth.
  • For plated jewelry, vermeil jewelry, and jewelry made from other materials, only use a soft, clean cloth with a gentle wiping motion or contact us for help.

We strongly suggest removing your jewelry when handling chemicals, cosmetics, chlorinated water, and anything that isn't safe for your skin. Take off your jewelry when you get active or do anything where your pieces may be handled roughly or strike hard surfaces. We encourage particular care with softer gemstones such as pearls, opals, and emeralds. When in doubt, take it off—just in case!

We happily service all our jewelry for the lifetime of its wear. Feel free to drop in during our open store hours for complimentary polishings and/or light washing. Additional services like resizing and repair may be covered by designers' warranties. If not, we offer service at a nominal charge.

All custom engagement and bridal pieces come with an annual ring check-up for the lifetime of the piece. Drop it off and we will give it a thorough cleaning, tighten any loose stones, inspect for any signs of wear and tear, and clean it for you in 2-3 weeks.

Anything you treasure should be insured. We strongly suggest you contact your homeowner's/renter's insurance or take out a standalone policy to protect your most valuable pieces. Let us know if you need a detailed invoice to get coverage. If your insurer requires an appraisal, we work with a few trusted services and can offer supporting documentation for $50.

If you have any questions, please reach out to let us know how we can help.
